Here’s how each and every one of you can Help Rebuild Vizag!

If you have seen our recent updates you may know that the Rebuild Vizag Organization (RebuildVizag.org) is now a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization. One of the key benefits of this is that your donations are tax exempt. This has eliminated a major barrier for folks to donate. With our initial donation of $10,000 matched 100% by the Rotary club, we co-sponsored six RO Plants (water purification plants) in key areas in Vizag where fresh, clean water was much needed. With a proven process in place and trusted partners in place both here in the US and in India, we can undertake more projects to help with the rebuilding process in Vizag and the surrounding areas.

We need more people involved to help us raise awareness and raise funds… it’s time for the donations to multiply by leveraging each and every one of our personal family and friends networks!

We have changed the personal fundraising page that was started right after Cyclone Hudhud to a new page for the organization. Here’s the link:

Anyone with the old link will automatically be redirected to this page. Since this is not a personal fundraising page anymore and belongs to the Rebuild Vizag Organization (RebuildVizag.org), anyone who wants to pitch in and help us can raise funds for the organization by joining our team!

Please follow these steps to create your own CrowdRise Fundraising Page to raise funds for the “Help Rebuild Vizag” cause:

1. Click on the link to the “Help Rebuild Vizag” Fundraiser page below:

2. Click on the “FUNDRAISE FOR THIS CAMPAIGN” button on the right, below the donation scroll.

3. You can sign up for a Free CrowdRise account or use your Facebook, Twitter, Google or LinkedIn account to log in. I would recommend either creating your own CrowdRise account or using Facebook as it would make it easy for you to share your Fundraising page with your friends and family.

4. Once you create the CrowdRise account or log in using your Facebook account, click the JOIN THE TEAM button and then you'll instantly have your own page for this Fundraiser that you can personalize and share with everyone you know. All Team Members who join will be shown on the main page. The donations made through your personal Fundraising pages will be shown by Team Member and will be rolled up in the total for the “Help Rebuild Vizag” cause.

5. When I had started my personal Fundraiser for the Help Rebuild Vizag cause, I put an initial donation to get my friends started and I recommend you do the same and your friends will follow… please lead by example!

6. Final Step – Share your Personal Fundraiser Page with your Friends and Family Networks on Facebook, Email Groups, WhatsApp Groups and anywhere you can reach out to raise awareness!
